Verification of the physical conditioning in the Brazilian Air Force: an analysis of the customer's satisfaction

The aim of the present study was to analyze the degree of satisfaction of the Brazilian Air Force personnel (users) in relation to the new methodology used in the Physical Conditioning Evaluation´s Test (PCET), used in the Brazilian Aeronautical Command, knowing its operation and identifying the processes which needed to be improved, in way to satisfy the user’s needs. In order to fulfill the collection of data, a questionnaire for great satisfaction was applied in 141 superior officers, who were attending the Brazilian Air Force Staff College in 2005. Ninety participation percentage of 63,8. After identifying the user’s needs the steps of mapping the processes were followed according to the methodology described in Maranhão & Macieira (2004), which facilitated the identification of the critical processes and the main factors that would be generating flaws in the intire process. The obtained results demonstrated a great acceptance of the new PCET, with 63% of the population classifying it as “very good” and 30% as “satisfactory”. The individual physical record form also demonstrated great acceptance, with 68% considering the trainings stimulating, 80% reported that the information was supplied clearly and exactly, and 96% having evaluated it as “very good” or “satisfactory”. Thirteen military (14,4%) reported that they have never received the individual physical record form.
