Abstract

The article discusses the need for a robust academic structure for the implementation of stricto sensu graduate programs in Engineering (GE). It emphasizes the importance of increasing investments in human resources, including hiring PhD professors and qualified technicians, as well as a continuous training plan for the current faculty. Resource scarcity is a challenge, but partnerships with research support organizations, such as FAPESP and CNPq, can help make these programs feasible, which are essential for training qualified professionals and for national sovereignty.
