Abstract

The article discusses the importance of Operational Research (OR) in the Air Command (COMAER), emphasizing the need for mathematical models to support quick and precise decision-making in operational environments. OR is presented as a science that seeks to optimize decisions in complex and uncertain situations, utilizing techniques that include Combat Theory, Network Flow, Game Theory, and Simulation. The text suggests the establishment of an Operational Research Center at COMGAR, which could provide specialized support and training for military personnel, promoting a more rational use of resources. The implementation of such models is seen as essential to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of air operations.
