The article "Institutional Evaluation: An Approach to Effectiveness" discusses the importance of evaluating institutions, especially in the context of scarce resources and increasing global competitiveness. Effectiveness is presented as a crucial factor for the survival of organizations, highlighting that while efficiency and productivity are desirable, effectiveness is fundamental to ensure that products and services meet societal needs. The text proposes an evaluation model that aligns organizational references with social demands, emphasizing the need for permanent evaluation committees within institutions. These committees should conduct both internal and external evaluations to ensure impartiality and accuracy of results. The article concludes that adopting a systematic policy of institutional evaluation can enhance organizational performance, allowing them to adapt to changing societal needs and maintain their relevance.
