Abstract

This essay aims to discuss doctrinal questions regarding the relevance of the insertion of synergy in the Brazilian Armed Forces joint operations through the efficacious of the Air Power employment. Beyond that, the paper also refers to the Joint Staff Course’s Professional Military Education accomplished through Brazilian War College faculty management. The paper starts by identifying concepts present in the National Defence Policy and in the current editions of Brazilian Armed Services Doctrine. In sequence, it was carried out a historical analysis of the evolution of Air Power, since the first employment of the airplane in aerial warfare. An exploratory, documental and bibliographic research was made. The results indicate the use of joint operations is a consummated fact in the military employment. Beyond that, the essay has a principal conclusion that there are advantages and efficacious with the joint employment of air power which can be the key element in this process of the Armed Forces integration.
