This is a review of the work: SIDORENKO, A. A. The Offensive. Washington D. C., USA Air Force, 1973. 228p. The work presents the thesis that "only the offensive leads to the attainment of victory over the enemy" (p. 1). To support his assertion, the author of the work seeks to demonstrate the advantages of the offensive over defense throughout history, especially during the "Great Patriotic War", before the appearance of nuclear weapons and after the advent of such weaponry.
