Abstract

Humanitarian logistics presents itself as a factor that has the function of ensuring, with efficiency and effectiveness, the flow of people and resources. In addition, it ensures adequate planning for activities to support communities affected by emergency situations, whether caused by natural disasters or even by terrorist attacks, wars, among others, demonstrating that they need significant attention. In this sense, the performance of the Brazilian FFAA can be seen, which are responsible for the security of society. In this way, they can provide the humanitarian logistical support needed to carry out peacekeeping missions in these chaotic regions that lack support. Thus, the present work aims to analyze the importance of adequate humanitarian logistics and the role of the FAB in peace missions. In addition, the exposure of the necessary aspects is essential so that there is a good preparation on the part of the active military, aiming to gradually help society. From the case of the peace mission in Haiti, it was possible to perceive that cohesion is essential to ensure logistics in the peace mission process.

    He is currently 2nd Lieutenant Quartermaster and serves as the head of the lodging and special charges at GAP-DF. Has experience in the area of Logistics Sciences and Public Administration, with emphasis on Defense. Research in the area of military logistics.

    1st Lieutenant QOCON MCS R2. Professor of the Superior Magisterium of the Fluminense Federal University (UFF) - Campos dos Goytacazes in the Undergraduate Course in Economic Sciences. Board Member Fiscal of the Brazilian Society of Bioenergy (SBE). PhD in Economics Applied by the University of São Paulo (ESALQ-USP) (2013). Economist registered at CORECON-SP and graduated from the State University of Londrina (UEL) (2007). Researcher of the Center for Agribusiness Studies (NEAGRO) and the Center for Studies in Applied Economics (NEAA) of the UFF. He held two post-doctoral studies at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP) between 2014 and 2017. He served at the Air Force Academy as a Military Professor and as Coordinator of the Coordination of Scientific Production (CPC) and Adjunct of the Subdivision of Research and Production Scientific (SPPC) of the Teaching Division of AFA. The main areas of research are: Energy Economics, Innovation Economics and Logistics. The main lines of research are: Bioenergy & Lignocellulosic Ethanol (Second Generation), Logistics and Agro-industrial Chains, Competitiveness, Input-Output Analysis, Social Network Analysis and Econometrics of
    Time Series.
