The article discusses the importance of military ethics and how it relates to duty and morality within the Armed Forces. As guardians of the State, military personnel must possess their own ethics that transcend civil morality, reflecting values such as loyalty, courage, and patriotism. The evolution of military ethics is influenced by social and technological changes, especially in a world where instant communication and low-intensity wars challenge traditional values. The author emphasizes that war is an inner struggle, where the battle is won or lost in the soul of each soldier, and that reflecting on the role of the military in society is essential for the future.
