The article discusses NATO's evolution after the Cold War, highlighting the need for adaptation to new geopolitical realities. The organization, which started with 12 members, expanded to include Central and Eastern European countries, promoting collective security and international cooperation. The concept of "Combined Joint Task Forces" (CJTF) was introduced to facilitate multinational operations and increase stability in Europe. Additionally, the Partnership for Peace (PfP) was created to strengthen ties with former Cold War adversaries, such as Russia and Ukraine. By redefining its functions, NATO seeks not only collective defense but also the promotion of peace and security in a constantly changing world.
