Predictive Maintenance Analysis in Accordance with the Inspection Based on Risk (IBR)

From the development of the Marlin field in the Campos Basin in the 90s, there was a large increase in the installation of floating production by PETROBRAS. Due to the difficulties of adapting the inspection programs, typical of oil tankers, the units of the Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO), began to occur long periods of unavailability of cargo tanks. Furthermore, with the fleet expansion, began to notice a difficulty in meeting the inspection programs of the hull. With the inevitable aging of the fleet, as well as previous life conversion, the particularities of each unit, the Inspection Based Risk (IBR) is presented as a necessary tool to avoid restrictions on oil production on the Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) in deep water. However, this study has the objective of presenting an analysis to predict the RBI in order to submit a process improvement, based on models adapted in the airline industry. Thus, it is intended to provide a more accurate analysis of the results. Because we adopt predictive analytics for possible preventive inspections with the ultimate goal of increasing the Time Limit of Life (TLV) of the structure. Aiming to deliver results as: reduction of uncertainties, identifying breakdowns due to structural deterioration, reduced maintenance costs, plan more efficiently and especially to prevent the stoppage of oil production, because it is a platform that produces and storing oil in its cargo tanks, which is why, might cause a major problem facing the strategic and financial resources in oil exploration.
