This work researches the beginning of the Military Air Mail and the pioneering job of those pilots in providing this service to the Brazilian society. It refers to an enterprise of these air explorers in taking longer flights, through mountains barriers and forests, trying to transport mail to South America exiled cities by the Military Air Mail (MAM). It examines Brazilian Aviation aspects in the the beginning of the last century, when piloting was still an adventure which required daring and courage from those professionals. It records the Army Aviation School, founded in July 10, 1919 and, since then, the formation of the first officers and enlisted pilots, mechanics and observers, besides describing the first airplanes used in the Campo dos Afonsos Aviation School, Rio de Janeiro.
