Abstract

The article discusses the importance of the Spectrometric Oil Analysis Program (PAEO) in preventing failures in aircraft engines. The PAEO analyzes metallic particles in lubricating oil to identify wear and potential defects. Despite its success, the program faces challenges such as sample transit time and the need for modernization of analysis methods. Suggestions include the informatization of the process and decentralization of laboratories, which could increase efficiency and reduce response time. The adoption of new technologies is crucial to ensure safety in aviation, especially in a context of increasing complexity of aerial means.
