Abstract

The article discusses the importance of scientific methodology in the planning of air activity for the Brazilian Air Force (FAB). It highlights the need for a systematic approach that allows for the efficient allocation of resources, considering factors such as costs, benefits, and risks. The proposal includes the fusion of data from the capability levels of fighter squadrons and other air units, enabling the assessment of the operational performance of the FAB. The implementation of a computational system is suggested to optimize the planning process, ensuring that decisions are based on quantitative parameters. The text emphasizes that the evolution of planning must break away from empirical methods, seeking a structure that allows for the definition of standards and the measurement of results.
