The article discusses the importance of the Cicare SVH-3 flight simulator in training helicopter pilots in the Brazilian Air Force. It emphasizes that the use of the simulator represents a significant advancement in training quality, providing a considerable reduction in operational costs compared to the use of real aircraft. The simulator allows students to practice maneuvers in a safe and controlled environment, without relying on weather conditions. Training is divided into two stages, where students learn to handle the helicopter's controls, culminating in low-altitude maneuvers. The article concludes that adopting the SVH-3 not only improves training efficiency but also prepares students for practical instruction on the UH-50 helicopter.
