The Armed Forces and the National Defense Politics

Currently we have been presented an increasing appreciation of the public and huge involvement with regard to the National Defense, a process which was reinforced by the recent publication of the National Defense Strategy. This article aims at encouraging the reflection and critical analysis of the need for the participation of the Brazilian population in the definition of the new concepts in agreement with the current reality, as well as in the role of the Armed Forces in the accomplishment of this process.
