Abstract

The article "Strategic Assessment" discusses the development of military strategies, focusing on the Falklands conflict and Argentina's involvement. It details key historical events and analyzes the tactical and strategic decisions that influenced the outcome of the 1982 conflict. Argentina, under Galtieri's leadership, invaded the Falklands, believing the UK would not respond militarily, a miscalculation. The British response was swift and effective, exposing the structural and logistical weaknesses of Argentina's armed forces. The author explores the failures in coordination between the Army, Navy, and Air Force, highlighting the lack of joint doctrine as a key factor in the defeat. However, the conflict also brought significant political changes, such as the end of Argentina's military regime.
