Abstract

The article discusses the evolution of technology transfer in Brazil, highlighting the collaboration between the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Defense. Based on a strategy developed over five decades, Brazil has achieved a level of excellence in aerospace projects and production. The federal government has established a new approach that emphasizes the participation of industry and universities in research, development, and innovation programs focused on defense. The text also addresses the importance of understanding the specific attributes of military products and the need for effective integration between operational and research agencies. Additionally, priority areas for science and technology are presented, including weapon systems, space technology, energy, information, and defense against weapons of mass destruction.
