Abstract

The article discusses the implementation of IFR training using low-cost flight simulators, aiming to optimize pilot training in the Brazilian Air Force (FAB). With the increase in air activity and the need to save resources, the use of simulators allows pilots to practice various flight situations without the need for frequent travel between airports. The simulated training is designed to be integrated into the existing instruction structure, facilitating adoption without significant reformulations. Additionally, the article highlights the importance of simulation software that meets specific requirements, such as scenario modeling and data exchange. The proposal aims not only for training efficiency but also for resource savings, allowing FAB to prioritize other essential activities.
