Abstract

The article "The Aviation of My Time - The Old" is a reflection by the author on the evolution of military aviation from its beginnings to the 1940s. The author, a former aviator captain, shares his experiences and memories of aviation, highlighting the divided training between the Army and the Navy, and the eventual merger that led to the creation of the Ministry of Aeronautics. He mentions the precariousness of air navigation at the time, which was entirely visual, without the aid of modern technology such as radio or radar. The author also describes the routes he used, the landing fields, and the challenges faced, expressing nostalgia for a time when aviation was marked by challenges and discoveries.
