Abstract

The article discusses the importance of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) in the Brazilian Air Force (FAB), highlighting their applicability in high-risk missions. The proposal is to replace pilots in dangerous situations with devices that can perform similar functions, utilizing a variety of sensors and armaments. The text also addresses the development of a Brazilian model, the BOM-1-BR, which is in the testing phase and has specific characteristics for strategic and tactical operations, as well as mentioning the use of UAVs in reconnaissance and search and rescue activities.
